TV mounting & home AV installation
TVs on the wall with nothing dangling underneath, sound in the rooms you want it, and a media room that works from one remote. The electrician's version of AV: cables in the wall, sockets where they belong, everything certificated.

What we do — and why an electrician does it better
TV wall-mounting from £250 + VAT, with genuinely hidden cabling. Anyone can bolt a bracket to a wall; the job is what happens to the cables. We chase or drop them inside the wall, add a recessed power socket and data point behind the TV, and leave a wall with a screen on it — not a screen with a curtain of leads. Because we're electricians, moving or adding the socket is part of the same visit, not a second trade.
Stone, brick and plasterboard. The Lothians' housing stock means half our mounts go onto stone or lath-and-plaster. The right fixings for the wall and the weight matter more than the bracket brand — a 65-inch TV stays where we put it, on any wall in the house.
Multi-room audio — ceiling speakers in the kitchen and bathroom, wired zones where it counts, streaming modules where wireless is honestly fine. And media rooms: projector power and signal to the right spot, screen wiring, sound routed properly, lighting on a scene so "movie" is one press (that last part pairs with our lighting design).
All of it leans on the same backbone as our data cabling — an HDMI-over-Cat6 run or a wired streamer beats any wireless dongle, and if we're wiring AV anyway, adding network points to the same routes is cheap. Planning an extension or renovation? Tell us before the plasterboard goes on and the whole job disappears into the walls.
Val is very approachable and friendly and does a great job.

Home AV questions, answered
Can you really hide all the cables?
On plasterboard and most stud walls, yes — completely, with power and signal dropped inside the wall to a recessed plate behind the TV. Solid stone sometimes means a shallow chase and refill, or in the worst case a slim painted channel; we tell you which before we start, never after.
Can you mount on a stone or lath-and-plaster wall?
Yes — it's most of what we do around here. Stone takes resin or heavy-duty masonry fixings; lath-and-plaster needs the load spread onto the studs or a mounting board. The fixing is engineered to the wall and the TV's weight, and it's guaranteed like everything else we do.
Do you do multi-room audio?
Yes — wired ceiling speakers where sound quality and reliability matter (kitchens, bathrooms, garden rooms), streaming zones where wireless is genuinely good enough. We'll design the mix honestly rather than wiring rooms you'd never use, and everything is controllable from one app.
Do you do conference rooms and offices?
Yes — conference rooms, event spaces and executive offices, with screens, floor boxes and conferencing kit. See boardroom & conference AV.
Do you supply the hardware or just fit it?
Either. Bought the TV, bracket and soundbar already? We fit them. Want a recommendation? We'll spec brackets, speakers and cabling that suit the room and your budget and supply them with the job — the quote shows hardware and labour separately so you can see exactly what's what.
