Car park, yard & security lighting

Outside lighting is often the first thing a customer sees and the thing that keeps a site safe after dark. We design and install LED floodlights for car parks and yards, column and bollard lighting for paths and entrances, building wash lighting, and security lighting on PIR or dusk-to-dawn control.

Good exterior lighting is even, not blinding: fittings aimed to light the ground where people walk and drive, without glare into windows or onto the road. We plan the layout from a site visit, re-use existing cable routes and columns where they're sound, and put everything on controls so it only runs when it's needed.

Why upgrade now

  • Lower running costs: LED uses a fraction of the power of fluorescent, sodium or halogen for the same light.
  • Less maintenance: no more tube and starter replacements, and no working at height every few months.
  • Fluorescent is on its way out: many tube types are no longer sold in the UK, so failed fittings are getting harder to fix like for like.
  • Better light: even, flicker-free light with the right colour for the task, which your staff and customers will notice.
  • Controls that pay for themselves: presence detection and daylight dimming stop you lighting empty rooms.

How it works

Commercial lighting questions, answered

Is it worth replacing fluorescent fittings with LED?

Almost always. LED fittings use less electricity for the same light, last far longer and need less maintenance. Fluorescent tubes are also being phased out, so replacements are getting harder to find. We'll show you the likely running-cost saving in the quote so you can judge the payback.

Can you do the work without closing?

Yes. Lighting upgrades are easy to phase: we work area by area, or before opening and after closing, so there's always light where people are working.

Do you install lighting controls?

Yes: presence and absence detection, daylight dimming, timers and zoned switching. In spaces that aren't always occupied, controls often save as much as the LED fittings do.

Can you replace our emergency lighting at the same time?

Yes, and it's the sensible time to do it. We can swap emergency fittings for LED and self-test versions as part of the same job, and certify them.

Do you do outdoor and car park lighting?

Yes: floodlights, car park and yard lighting, building wash and security lighting, all on dusk or sensor control and rated for Scottish weather.
