Cookie policy
Which cookies this site uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind.

What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, like analytics cookies, are optional. We only use optional cookies if you say yes.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you choose, and if you reject them, Google Analytics doesn’t load at all.
You can change your mind at any time:
If you withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies from your browser.
Cookies and storage we use
| Name | Set by | What it’s for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary: always on | |||
| vc-consent | This site (browser storage) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask on every page. | Until you clear your browser data |
| Enquiry form cookies | GoHighLevel (our form provider) | Needed for the enquiry form to load, submit and block spam. | Session to 1 year |
| Analytics and advert measurement: only if you accept | |||
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart so we can count visitors and see which pages are used. | 2 years |
| _ga_Q6Q31960N2 | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Shows whether an enquiry came from one of our Google adverts. | 90 days | |
We don’t use advertising cookies to follow you around other websites, and we don’t personalise adverts using this site.
Other things that connect to Google
This site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. That sends your IP address to Google so it can deliver the font files, but doesn’t set cookies.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may stop the enquiry form from working. In that case, call us on 01620 843 804 or email info@vcelectrical.co.uk.
