Commercial questions, answered
Can you work outside our opening hours?
Yes. Testing, installs and upgrades can be phased or booked for evenings and weekends, so the shop stays open, the office keeps working and the kitchen keeps serving. We agree the timings in writing before we start.
Who is responsible for the electrics — us or our landlord?
It depends on your lease. As a rule of thumb, the tenant looks after the installation inside the unit they occupy and the landlord looks after the supply and any common parts, but leases vary. Send us the relevant clause and we'll tell you what falls to you.
What paperwork will we get?
Whatever the job calls for: an Electrical Installation Condition Report for testing, installation and commissioning certificates for new work, a test register for PAT, and logbook entries for emergency lighting and fire alarms. It's the paperwork your insurer, landlord or fire risk assessor will ask to see.
Do you look after more than one site?
Yes. Multiple premises can go on one maintenance plan, with one contact and one set of records, so nothing falls due at one site while you're looking at another.
How quickly can you come out?
For planned work, every quote is prepared and sent the same or next working day after we've seen the premises. For faults that stop you trading, phone us: we answer out of hours.
