Who it's for
| SITE | WHAT USUALLY WORKS |
|---|---|
| Offices & workplaces | A bank of 7kW or 22kW chargers for staff, with access control and load management |
| Fleets & vans | Overnight depot charging sized to the fleet, with usage reporting per vehicle |
| Hotels, golf clubs & hospitality | Guest charging, free or paid, as a reason to choose you over the place down the road |
| Shops & car parks | Customer charging while they're with you, with payment by app or card |
What's involved
Supply first. Before anything else we check whether your supply has the capacity, how many chargers it can support, and whether you have a three-phase supply. Most commercial installs need one.
Load management. Smart chargers share the available power between cars and back off when the building needs it, so you can often fit more chargers without a supply upgrade.
Groundworks and routes. We plan cable routes, ducting and mounting (wall or post) for the car park, and coordinate any groundworks.
Network operator. Where the installation needs to be notified or the supply upgraded, we deal with SP Energy Networks for you.

Workplace EV charging questions, answered
How many chargers can our supply handle?
It depends on the capacity of your supply and what else it's running. We check this first. Load management often lets you fit more chargers than the raw numbers suggest, by sharing the available power between cars instead of upgrading the supply.
What if we need a bigger supply?
We assess what's needed and handle the application to SP Energy Networks, the local network operator, and coordinate the connection work so the chargers go in as soon as the supply is ready.
Can we charge staff or visitors to use them?
Yes. Networked chargers can be set up for free use, staff-only access, or paid public charging, with usage reports so you can see what each charger is doing.
Are grants available for workplace chargers?
We're fully accredited: a SELECT member and approved installers for OZEV and Energy Saving Trust grants. Schemes open, close and change their rules, so ask when you enquire and we'll tell you what applies to your site right now, and handle the application.
7kW or rapid chargers?
For staff and fleet cars parked for hours, 7kW or 22kW AC chargers are usually right. Rapid DC chargers suit sites where cars stop briefly, but they need a much larger supply. We'll recommend what fits how your vehicles actually park.
Charging at home?
A single 7kW charger on your driveway is covered on our home EV page. See the home version →
